About us: My husband John wrote the book, Charcoal Remedies.com, The Complete Handbook Of Medicinal Charcoal, as he wanted to share the amazing properties, and stories of charcoal, what he calls the black sheep of natural remedies. We had no idea how it was going to literally change our lives.
What began on a small island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, is now in full operation outside a dusty ole cowboy town in NW Nebraska, just an hour below the Black Hills, SD. Together John and I have three adult children and one old dog, Annie Brown, our dear Canadian mutt friend, that 'found us,' one dark and stormy night almost ten years ago.

One information driven: CharcoalRemedies.com, the same name as the book.
Our newsletter, which serves both websites is called Charcoal Times, hence the name of this blog.
